Oh Creativity, Our Paths Meet Once Again
Today I am standing in the kitchen waiting for my delicious
sugar cookies to finish baking on this beautiful grim October day. Forgive me,
I know I seem to have abandoned the lot of you, it was a sudden shift like the
seasons and I hope you all can forgive me. I seemed to have dried out for a
while. Everything seemed to have gotten really busy and my natural creative
self got lost in the middle of dry wasteland in a world far from here. I tried
to write, create something or come up with some fantastic idea and….nothing.
Usually things of that nature come to me naturally and with little effort. For
months I would try with no success. I was frustrating because it felt like I
swapped minds with somebody that has no perspective.
So now I am trying again and things are still a little rough
but easier. I actually got inspired to try again because of autumn, you see it
the bestest season in the whole world and ever since it started turning in
September, its been working on me. I have always liked autumn with the cold
gloomy weather and the dyeing trees that look so beautiful as they lose there
covering until the next spring or the foggy mornings like today. But fall out
here is nothing like fall in Iowa. Out off all the days I remember when I was
little, it was those soft autumn days or those dark cold nights were it seemed
like the brightness of the moon was the only guide of light.
Anyway, enough of my ramblings, I wanted to let you know
that my cookies are done and they are in fact delicious, it may be my best batch
yet. We are also near the middle of October, which means that we are a month or
less than a month away from West Coast. No one has said anything about it yet
or has made any announcements so far that I know of so hopefully some of you
get the bright idea of checking out the Youth Alive Blog today and if you are
reading this now, then congratulation, you are now well informed which is not
all that well since I’m the one informing.
I don’t know about all of you but I have noticed the spooky
costumes in the stores and the thanksgiving decorations for sale…and the
Christmas trees. It seems like everybody is eager for the holidays so they want
to sell everything at the same time, which in my opinion is stupid, but they
can go right ahead. Anyway with the holidays ahead of us that means
thanksgiving at our house. Once again you all are heartily invited as part of
the family. Wowzerz, that last line sounded really good and welcoming, I must
be getting it back….
So I guess that’s all and like I used to before, I urge you
to leave a comment as a thank you or appreciation. Kind of like, “thank you,
Dominick, ever so much for your words and passion on this blog. Why, if you
didn’t post on here and inform us, we would be blind with no direction, thank
you again for your vision of this blog and how informative you are.” I’m
kidding, don’t by any means fatter me, and certainly not like that. Though if
you read that again with a British accent in your head, it sound pretty
convincing. Till next time, cheers…
