There Might be a New Design Coming to This Blog!!!

Now all of you know that New Years is just around the corner and usually this is the time of year that everybody comes up with crazy "New Years Resolution" that usually never happen....

Anyway, the Youth Alive blog might be getting one! We are currently discussing a new theme for the blog. The new design should fix the problems that some have been experiencing.

I have made a Sample YA web site of what this blog Might look like in 2013. The link to the site is bellow. PLEASE give me some feedback in the comment section of what you think!

The link to the sample blog is just bellow this! It will open in a new widow/tab.

Bro Dominick, I believe in change. Change is good. The YA blog has had the same look for some time now and I do support a different appearance and maybe some enhancements or corrections or what not. However, I think the Sample you have looks too similar to the Truth Hack Blog. Maybe just play around with it some more to get a new design that stands out among the others. But I do think your idea is good, Keep up the good work!

Yay to Youth Alive and Innovation!

Youth Alive gone Digital

Okay I am going to try to make this as short as I can. Sadly I am not continuing the story of Charles today, but never fear! I will continue the story in the coming week. Still not sure were story is leading to but I think its going to be good. In fact! You all's can leave a comment to inform me on how the story is so far.....probably not going to happen.

Speaking of comments, at the Youth Alive Christmas party I was honored to receive the "YA Blog Revivalist" Certificate of Recognition. There was somebody who received one of these pieces of paper for "Commentator of the Year" because she overcame the fear of commenting on this blog!

That same night Linda informed me that she is now a writer on this blog. So I think she should do some kind of introduction to introduce herself to the blog! Something like:

hello everybodys! i am new here....and um.....i hope all yall's can overcome the fear of commenting on this blog like i did......when i was a young & laden .....so.......thank you......

Youth Alive Christmas Party!

Merry Christmas everybody. The Youth Alive Christmas party is tonight! The Van leaves the church at 5:30pm. So be there at 5:20 to have time to get in the van. Also, do not forget about the gift exchange!

Now back to my story!

Charles snapped his eyes open, blinked a few times and looked at the dark grey sky. He rolled over to his hands and knees. To his right the special spice was scattered across the muddy ground. Charles slowly stood to his feet and looked around.

Behind him there was a branch that was snapped. Suddenly there was a glow to his right that made him jump. When he looked, it was just the moon moving from behind the clouds. Charles heard in the distance a low hum that was growing steadily.

Charles began to grow frightened with the circumstances that have overcome him. It was terribly dark and he was very hungry. He was lost with no way to get home. In his fear he was drowning out everything around him.

He snapped out of the overwhelming anxiety and once again noticed the humming noise that was now loud as can be. Charles saw a roundish object coming out of the shadows. When it was finally close enough to see what it was Charles couldn't contain the anxiety any longer he let out a frightful scream......

HHHMMMMM.....How Intriguing....

GASP!!! He is BACK!!!!!
??????

Okay, hello everybody. I don’t know who everybody is because of….well never mind. It’s been quite a while since I posted on this old blog, just a couple of weeks. I have been wanting to post something but finding the time to do so has been complicated. Time is just one factor, I also need a subject, so today I woke up and creativity was flowing in my noggin. I don’t have a subject and I figured when I got the chance to get behind a keyboard and a word processor then the light bulb would come on and still nothing.

So I think a story would be appropriate. Just as a warning I have NO idea what that story is going to be about or lead to because that idea just occurred to me in the past 30 seconds…

One day a young man named Charles worth was walking along in his small Neighborhood. The day was pleasant, just a few houses here and there. The wind swirled through the air elevating autumn leaves and causing them to fall to the ground. His mom Alberta was cooking a special family recipe and was missing a very important ingredient. So Charles was on his way to the neighborhood market that was just 20 minutes down the road.

When he arrived at the store he walked to where the spices were. To his misfortune the spice he needed was $3 more than what he had. Being very discouraged because of overwhelming hunger he walked out of the store and started home. After 2 minutes of walking he looked to the wood on his right. They were thick with trees and the further he look into them, the tall trees faded into the shadows.Suddenly an idea occurred to him and he spoke out loud “if I could take a shortcut through the woods then I can probably go home, get the extra money, run back to the store and be back home in 30 minutes.”

He ran through the woods, it took him 10 minutes to get home.He ran inside and got three dollars and ran back into the woods. I was starting to get overcast and the clouds were dark grey. By the time he got to the store there was a light rain. He rushed to the where the spices were and got what he needed then stood in line. There was only one employee checking people out and the line was very long, this was going to delay him about 10 more minutes.

After he finally paid for the spice, he exited the store and to his astonishment it was much darker than when he had first left his house and the rain was more intense. It would not be wise to go in the woods in this weather while it is dark! But he had to be home fast so he risked the dangers anyway and hoped for the best.

When he was deep in the woods he realized the mistake he made. He could hardly see in any direction. But as long as he keeps going forward he should be fine and make it home in 5 more minutes. The rain was still intense but he couldn't slow down, he was already running late. His stomach grumbled and he ran faster.

He was doing his best to avoid the puddles but he was getting tired and was becoming less aware. Suddenly something ran past him that was hard to make out due to the darkness. He slipped, ran into a tree branch and was out.
