It's Already Here!

On course is a very momentous event. I hope that I will never miss one year, ever. This conference is high priority in my life even though it’s just a three days long. It has a huge impact on me and my walk with God. I never want to take advantage of the significance of the whole experience and write it off as just another meeting or just another conference. 

I see meetings like this or West Coast like check points in my life that help me to stop and see the progress and the mistakes. Often when we have check points we see the mistakes and that’s nothing to look down on because we are all going to make numerous mistakes but for each mistake there is progress, that is if you find and obtain it(free wisdom brought to you by dominick!). I can say that check points like On Course have help shape me.

I am stunted when the reality of my life suddenly hits me. I am stunted because of the doomed life I was living before I got in Church was like a maze that had no exits, and is now like a life that I was living in a nightmare that I once had long ago. As the years pass, the idea that it was all just a bad dream sounds less far off than it used to, even though everything in the dream actually happened.  

I am looking forward to On Course 2013, I will have a good time and I hope the others that I am going with will choose to have a good time as well. 

Sunday Morning Cake Auction!

Attention to all saints of Higher Ground! I am pleased to announce, on Sunday morning, March 10th we will be holding a cake auction following the morning service. 

Our auctioneer will be.....well you are just going to have to wait till Sunday...

The funds will be for the youth going to On Course Youth Conference. Your support and participation will be much appreciated!

The Tales of Charles Continued...

I am SO utterly sorry to everybody who takes the time to read my nonsense!

"Sorry?" You ask...

Yes, truly I am. For it has been a terribly long time since I have written anything to you dear readers...

Because of the DEEP burden of grief that is bleeding out of my BONES! I feel as though I owe you guys an explanation for my absents...

But that explanation I will keep to myself to save time. Now before you read on, if you have not read part 1 & 2(link: Part 1, Part 2) of the tale that I have written I suggests that you do that before you continue reading because I finally did part 3. By the way, I think I am naming the story's "The Tales of....Charles"

Last time on, The Tales of....Charles

Stomp, stomp, stomp, WHACK, thud.......
.......blink, blink.....SCREAM!!!!!

Now, Part 3 of The Tales of.......Charles

Charles couldn't control his breathing, the situations was just to overwhelming and now this, his heart was pounding. He started to tremble in fear and let out another scream, maybe someone would hear him and come to his rescue...

AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH-

"Hey, hey, hey! What's your problem, why all the noise. You look like you've seen a ghost or something."

Silence....

Charles was speechless, the thing could talk.

"Well pardon me, I forgot to introduce myself. I am commonly known as a pomegranate but I do prefer shrunken pomegranate head and I grant you the honor of calling me by my given name, Grim."

Silence....

Charles heart rate returned to normal and the trembling stopped, his breathing was steady. He saw how friendly this shrunken pomegranate head was....

"And your name would be...."

"Cch-Charles"

"CHARLES! Well, Charles, what ever are you doing out here at this hour?"

"Um........I..wa-"

"No need to explain, I saw EVERYTHING. Now, do YOU understand?"

"Well...um-"

"Yeah, not many do but that's okay because I can tell you everything! BUT I'm not because time right now is an issue for the mysterious chronicler who is chronicling the story."

"Um, Grim, you talk a lot."

"Yeah, and I noticed you don't. See, there's a life lesson right there. The lack of talking is not the issue, the lack of observation is!"

Grim waited to see if Charles was going to say anything in response. Silence...

"That it Charles! I think you are beginning to understand!"

Um, understand what?

"Well if you just follow me, time will tell all. But keep up now, because time is short for us because that's the way the mysterious chronicler wants it."
